According to my JEE marks, this was best college and course option available to me and that too in my region. Being near to hometown is also one of the factors that made me choose this college. And my cousin was also in this college so she provided me with all the insights.
Course Curriculum Overview
There is every main subject taught to you in your engineering stream. The faculties are too helpful and educated enough. Every faculty member is good until you do something seriously worse. Some faculties are even frank enough too say that you can mass bunk.
Placement Experience
Placement period is a very stressful period for everyone until you get placed. Companies visit for different roles like technical and non technical. In technical they are looking for software developers and software engineers mainly. There is an eligibility criteria for each organisation visiting. Famous names like Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan, ZS and many more visit definitely every year. So great opportunities are provided, just you need to grab them.
College Events
Campus life is amazing. There are around more than 50 different societies each with their own perspectives satisfying every students interest. There is annual cultural fest named Saturnalia in which big famous different singers perform every year and many more events are there too. Last year Zakir Khan came for the stand up show. There is Thapar Food Festival every year and it is like the way name hints at. And there are many more in the list.
Campus Life
There is almost every sport available in the college from cricket to badminton. 24/7 Wifi available. A newly built centrally AC 3 floor library. A whole new computer department is built recently with modern classrooms and labs. There is an iMac Lab too.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Infrastructure is different for different years. There are AC and Non AC options available. Shared and Single options too are available. You get a single seater bed, an almirah, a study table and a chair. Water coolers are on every floor. The hostel selection process is online on the institute's private platform webkiosk.
