The university is amongst the top-ranked ICAR institutes. It is near to my hometown and provides a wide range of opportunities to its students. Moreover, it is a matter of pride to get selected at such a reputed institute as GBPUAT.

The course syllabus is well updated as per the recent guidelines of ICAR. The students are provided an industrial training experience at their final semester i.e. 8th semester. The faculties especially in the college of Agriculture are hard-working and helpful to students.

I opted for an unpaid internship offered by WeHeal. It was a content writing internship that gave a wonderful experience.

In campus placement opportunities are great for students of the College of Technology. For the students of the College of Agriculture, placements still need to be improved. The entrepreneurship development cell of the university collaborates with different companies and organizations to provide the best internship and placement opportunities to the students. College of Agriculture has recently expanded its alumni network to great extent. Now the alumni of different batches are connected to alma mater with an easy approach.

Cultural activities are generally held either by the respective college or by different societies of the institute. National level are conducted by different societies like Spic Macay and VSM. Agriculture night, Student Fairs, Kisaan mela, and various other events take place time to time.

The scholarship is provided to the students who score the top 3 positions during a year of study. Rs. 800/ month is provided to them. Other than that, a sports scholarship of Rs. 800/month is provided to students outstanding in sports. Financial assistance of 25,000 is provided to those who have a family income of less than 3lakh.

The campus is located over an area of 40km and provides ample opportunities to students in diverse fields. There are ample sports opportunities for students due to an on-campus stadium by the name "Stevenson Stadium". The wifi facilities are provided at the hostels as well as the library. The central library of GBPUAT is quite a large one, containing books in different fields of study. Labs have access to basic lab instruments and facilities, but still require a lot of improvement and modification.

There are 22 hostels in Pantnagar, each well equipped with wi-fi facilities and a mess of its own. Most of the hostels have their own library. On either side of the dormitory are rooms. The room size depends upon the hostel which is allocated to you. Hostels are allocated according to the college you are enrolled in. The university is basically fully residential, but recently during the lockdown, an order passed, that now allows students to board a Pg off-campus. There is no problem in availing hostel facility at all.
