Remarks

As my rank was 1.8K and apart from study every one wants to enjoy thier college life. Heritage is No.1 Private Engineering college in West Bengal not only because of infrastructure but also because of the good teaching faculties and excellent placement. these are the thing which drove me to take admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Taking about course curriculum you will get to learn every thing related to your core branch only if you are interested. Course Syllabus Covers every important subjects related to your branch and If you are interested in learning apart form your branch no one can stop you. Our faculties are very helpful. They will help you in every single thing either its your project or internship.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 365200 per year

Placement Experience

If you are from CSE,IT or ECE you will be placed if you are eligible for placement. You just have to focus on your study. You can be placed offcampus through HackwithInfy by Infosys, Codevita by TCS or in many others companies. Now if we talk about on campus cpmpanies like TCS,DXC. Hexaware, Cognizant,Capgemini etc.

College Events

There is one thing you which will miss in this college i.e FEST. In our whole B.tech Degree i.e 4 years we haven't seen a single fest. Apart from this there are sports clubs, Drama club, Rotaract Club and many other clubs which you can join as per your initerest.

Campus Life

The Infrastructure and facilities available in our college is best comparing to other colleges in west bengal. Central library of HITK situated in Central Building (also known as CB) is the nerve center for all academic activities. Wifi is free for all the students.Labs are fully air-conditioned and full of equipments.

Hostel Facilities

There is no in campus hostel for boys but there is one Hostel also known as Kalikapur Boys Hostel located in kalikapur approx 4km from college and Hostel fees is 4000 + 2200 mess fees. For girls there are hostels inside college. PG option is also availabe outside college. Rent for PG is almost same i.e 4K. In Hostel there is a free wifi facility

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
