Entrance Preview

I took KEAM Entrance (kerala entrance). I choose EEE because I like it and also good staff and lab available there.

Course Curriculum Overview

From this year onwards college is under KTU(kerala technology university). It's great experience under this syllabus. It's very accurate and well defined. Curriculum and extra curriculum are done proper time. Little bit difficulty.

Placement Experience

In this year more than 10 companies are come and gives placement for many students who have good academic career.

Celebration are under college union more than 7 college events like union inauguration,freshers day,woman day,arts,sports,TECHFEST ADVAYA,magazine publishing,sent off day etc.

Government fees only. Free for SC ST student.

All types of scholarship by government available. Loan assistance also available.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is good. I think girls are more than boys. Hostel parties are done frequently so many cultural parties done. Many clubs are actively going. Political parties are actively working.

Seprate hostel for men and women. And also homestays available.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
