Entrance Preview
Entrance is KEAM conducted by Kerala government for various college across Kerala. Interview are easy to crack.
Course Curriculum Overview
My university syllabus for 2,3,4 year students. KTU university syllabus for 1st year students. 1st year is basic study of various Engineering. Electives are given in 4th year.
Internships Opportunities
Government gives many stipends to students through several programs. Many students go for various companies for internships in last year of degree. Companies like infocys,intel,Siemens,hcl,bhel etc are the companies came for internships.
Placement Experience
Many companies like wipro,infocys,q burst,hcl,tcs,accenture,l&t etc. Many of them got job at package of 6 lac. Some of them got 4.5 lac per annum. 80% of final year students are placed in various companies.
College Events
Many events like arts,sports,freshers day,tech fest,women's day,college day. Students are actively participate in many programs. College gives good atmosphere to extra curriculum activities. Good courts are available in campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Government fee structure rs 6200 per year. It's feasible for all students. Fee can remits parts by parts in a year. No fees for SC ST students. Students with no money pta will adopt them.
Fees and Financial Aid
Several scholarships like MCM,egrantz,center sector etc. Loan facilities also available. Several other scholarships are given by various institutions.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is good. Girls are more than boys in campus. Hostel parties conduct by hostel mates for various celebrations like birthday etc. No religious or caste discrimination in campus. Good political atmosphere in college. Parties like KSU,sfi are works in campus.
Hostel Facilities
Well equipped boys hostel and ladies hostel inside the campus. Home stay are also available outside the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
GECIAN (government engineering college Idukki alumni association) is alumni group of geci. Seniors gives good help for our carriers. Good interaction between senior and juniors in campus.
Exam Structure
Exams are semester based. Lab exams conducts college itself. Two Internal exams for internal marks.
Faculty
Good faculty. Most of faculty are appointed by government through psc exams. Some of them are guests. Many have phd and master degrees. Good teacher students ratio in college.
