Remarks

It is one of the best Medical College in eastern india. It located in a beautiful location,11th among india's best colleges in india today rank 2017.And there is a lot of experienced faculties. The feast of this college is one of the biggest feast of Kolkata. Seniors are very helpful, Hostel facilities are quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is according to MCI's rules and regulations. It is under WBUHS( West Bengal University of Health and Science). Exams are conducted by WBUHS, There is a chance to gain lot of clinical experience throughout this course. Exams are on the basis of theory and practical. Exposure to patients.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement and Job opportunity is good enough. After passing the 4the Professional MBBS exam a student get chance for completing internship. Then the positing are started.

College Events

There are mainly 4 festivals which held in our college. i.e, Fresher, Reunion, Saraswati puja, Lobelia(4 days College feast). Fresher : Where senior welcome their juniors. Reunion: In this festival old students come to college and take part in cultural programme. Though the cultural programmes mainly performed by students who not passed out. Saraswati Puja, Lobelia: It is the grand feast of our college, various competitions, cultural programmes are held.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Rg kar medical college hostel, education and college life review

You have to clear NEET UG cut off for our college which varies according to your category . Cut off is high as our college is third most sought college in WB. R.G.kar Medical college, The home for the Best Future Doctors.

You need to qualify for the NEET UG exam. With an Air of around Rs 10000-13000 to get into this college. All details of admission are available on the MCI and WBMCC websites.
