Remarks
I heard about this institution since my school days. Shri shikshayatan college's faculty holds a good reputation among students in Kolkata especially. It's Calcutta University affiliated which is recognized by most of the companies and colleges so taking admission for higher studies becomes a bit flexible.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum - The curriculum is well prepared keeping in mind the average students. Academics - The academic structure is basic and not something extraordinary. The syllabus is up to date but more focus should be given to addition in new subjects. Faculties - I'm a Humanities student and i would say that the faculty of B.A. is really appreciation worthy. All teachers are up to date with their knowledge as well experienced to tackle student problems. My favourite faculty is Ms.Sukanya Roychowdhury.
Internships Opportunities
I have opted for Campus Ambassador Program in Internshala and International MUN. The process to get into these programs is by filling up the application form that is provided once in a year.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in Shri shikshayatan college which places worthy students into good companies.
College Events
The college fest is named Srijan and is not a big success according to me. Mostly the celebrity guests are youtubers and not much renowned. Colleges all over participate in Srijan in events like dance competition, spelling bee, 1 minute to fame, etc.
Campus Life
Shri shikshayatan College provides a large campus to its students like a sports ground with basketball court, throwball ground. Wi-fi facilities are not up to the mark. The library is quite spacious with books related to all educational genres and one can borrow books and return it within 2 weeks.
