Remarks

I choose this college because- 1.It is the top 5th college in West Bengal which is affiliated by NBA,NAAC & AICTE. 2. This college under the well known MAKAUT University Kolkata in West Bengal. 3. Our college only offers tech courses like B.tech in (CSE,IT,EE,ECE,MCA,BCA). By which we get tech environment in our campus. 4. Here,Many national company arrives and hire graduate like-Amazon (For BPO),Wipro,Infosys,Goldman Sachs etc. 5.It is situated at the urban area very popular VIP Kolkata near Kolkata Airport.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course- All courses was updated in 2018 by MAKUAT University. Faculties- Most of the faculty are well qualified & supporting in every aspect in education & support. Labs are well fascinated by updated tools & devices. Specially our Computer labs are so good & it's teacher. One thing i want to mention that,in this college many faculties are ladies.

Placement Experience

Wipro,TCS,Infosys,amazon etc. are visited and offer full time job with good packege according to student skills. Out of 60 students 41 are placed in 2018 batch in IT. Mostly IT companies and mass recruiters visit during campussing for Electrical Engineering students. Hardly one or two core engineering companies visit the college during campussing. Getting placed in a company depends upon your skill and calibre.

College Events

Campus life is good. But not well because,we have no that much extra spaces for gathering. Our college are frequantly organise the seminar on technical,cultural & all for our building new skills & opportunity to learn from industry expert that how we are work in industry. Every year senior gave fresher party after 1st sem. Participation are in very amount from various college.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure are good but little it has 3 building Block A(For 1st year students), Block B(For EE & ECE Students),Block C( For CSE & IT Students). All block has wifi with the data limit of 1GB per day. For indoor games we have a game space in C block where we plays. For outdoor sport our college has no own field to play. When it required we hire the field & organise the game over there. Library is well fascinate with top books for all stream students. Here are facility to read upto 2-3H per day. Equipment of labs are so good & updated well furnished with all tools and guider for doing experiment.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure are good it has 2 building & name is Techno Student hostel. Hostel fee is around Rs 5500/month. In this hostel rooms are shared around 2-3 students according to size of the room

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
