Course Curriculum Overview
The teachers in BVCOE are mostly helpful in the way that they would teach you well, and if not so, they will atleast try their best to do that, latter being the minor case. However, the college is not at all lineant in giving internal marks freely. You would have to study hard to fet those 25 marks. Also, if your aim is doing research in the future, there are teachers who may help you easily. All you will have to do is find them.
Placement Experience
I have not personally tasted the scenario of placements but as far as seniors are concerned, Core company placements are very low, but then so is the case with all engineering colleges in Delhi. IT companies do come for in campus placements, ranging from TCS to Thoughtworks to EY, etc. Placement however depends on individual calibre only. The college is not that lineant in providing many opportunities but won't hinder if you do push out to grab opportunities like participanting in national level competitions or attending a ton of workshops or having entrepreneurship experiences, as long as you maintain a good attendance and good academia.
College Events
The cultural front of the college is very weak in many aspects. There is only one cultural fest, that too being biennial and non exuberant. However the college does participate in Anugoonj, the annual cultural fest of IPU in almost every competition. Sports is very active in the college as of now. If you are a footballer or a cricketer or basketball player, you will surely have a good time here. Dance, music and literary activities have their designated societies but most of them are latent for a large portion of the year. The college has a very good crowd. There is a divrse population of students and you will most likely find out your group of friends within a week or two. Every classroom has ACs, so the summer isn't that big of a problem. There are hangout places around and inside the college. So chit chats are very easy to catch up. Also, the college gate is 5 steps away from the metro station, no kidding.
