Remarks

The area of college is really nice and peaceful. The E.M BYPASS is really close to the college so the connectivity is really nice and it's a real blessing for people who stay at a long distance from the college.The infrastructure is average but the library is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They have an excellent teaching quality. Their teaching methods will be friendly. I did not get any industrial exposure here. Our course curriculum is also very useful. It was one by one and to the point, which is acceptable for the students.

Placement Experience

Actually, it depends on your result. As it's not a private college, it is under Calcutta University. There is no placement cell. If your result is good, then you shall be offered a placement. There are many scholarships available for a better student, and it really helps a lot.

College Events

Many cultural, social events are held in this college. Some of them are small involving only college students but some are on huge level including students from other colleges as well.The fresher in our college was also a huge one and well organized by our seniors.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
