I think BCREC is the best option if your rank is a bit less and you did not get JU, KGEC, JGEG, IEM and HIT in the online counselling. Talking about the placement of this college, its around 90% for non-core(CSE/IT/ECE) department.Even in the recent years the placement percentage of core departments has equally improved. Apart from Academics, College had huge campus with extra-curricular activities(like NCC/NSS/Karate) which attracted me and huge cricket and football ground which rarely a college in WB has. I opted for ECE department as in this modern era of AI and Machine Learning, I thing ECE is the only by which you can shift your career in any direction you want, say it IT sector, DRDO or even govt services.

I took admission in 2017. In the year 2018 MAKAUT, our affiliated university changed the entire B. Tech syllabus. Seriously the new syllabus is simply awesome. Its very much helpful as far as Industries and Placement are concerned. Talking about Industrial Training, every student of the college go for it after the 6th semester is over. College faculties are always helpful be it in class time or off class time. We get teacher contact no and whatsapp no, So one can easily contact whenever he/she face any problem be it academic related or other than that.

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgimini, Cognizant, Infosys, Byju's, L&T, Sankalp Semiconductor and many more visit the college campus for placement. Talking about the number of students placed, almost all eligible students of non- core departments gets place as no of candidates hired by these companies are much higher to than that of core departments. The placement process starts with a aptitude test, followed by Technical Round, GD and then PI.The average package offered is approx 3.8 lk /annum. Apart form Campus placement, many students go for off-campus placement for better career opportunities and pay scale. Even some of BCREC alumina have cracked prestigious examinations like DRDO, GATE, BPSE. Few meritorious students even gets internship offers by their skills.

College has a lots of event starting from Orientation and Freshers programme when a student joins the college. Then we have Tech-fest(Horizon) which has so many events. Then comes the Cultural fest for which all students eagerly wait for it. The farewell party for passing out seniors is very well organised.

If you have a domecile of West Bengal and your family income is less than 2.5 lakh per annum then you can apply for TFW Scheme, where you will not have to pay the tuition fess.I exactly don't much idea about loan facility but many of my friends are having loan.

College has huge campus. In one word you will fall in love. As you enter the premises you can see a big circled zone with fountain in it. Just beside it is a cafe called Utsav-Cafe. For every dept it has separate building and even for first year it has separate academic section named Vidyasagar Bhawan. Labs are all good with all new Computers, machines ans all other Electrical devices. Campus has 3 boys and 2 girls hostel with wifi facility in it. And again separate hostel for 1st year students to avoid ragging. Football ground, Cricket ground, Basketball court, Volleyball Court is also there. College has NCC and Karate as extra curricular activity. Separate boys and girls multi-gym.

Yes, There are 3 boys and 2 girls hostel. Separate hostel for 1st year students. Each hostel has a capacity of around more than 400 students. You have a option to either stay in 4 bedded or 2 bedded room(charges differ in both cases). And every student is given a bed, table chair and a cupbord.24x7 water and electricity supply. Students get morning breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Quality of food is average.
