Remarks

I feel Durgapur is one of the best place to go for engineering. The college has a good placement record. The environment of this college is also good. Even few of my seniors friends are also pass out from this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college has good course curriculum. The college is affiliated to MAKAUT university which is one of the good university in India.Our course syllabus is very much updated with the modern era of IT sector.

I think is one of the best college as placement is considered. Many companies visit for on campus placement like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys and many more. And the placement record is day by day increasing.

College Events

The college organise every year tech fest called Horizon. Many students from 1st to 4th year take part in this tech fest with lots of activities takes place. After few days of tech fest we have cultural fest which has a good demand in the college and is very well organise.

Campus Life

The campus has very good Infrastructure. We also have big playgrounds for Cricket and football. Basket ball court is also there. Apart from that NCC and Karate is also there.I think would be a good choice if are more into sports.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
