Remarks

I had no other choice left with me at that time. This was the only college providing me admission for engineering on merit basis. I was not selected for JEE Mains could not qualify the merit list for two marks. So I could not apply to any NITs. My father said this college was best because it was close to my hometown.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was good. All the syllabus are provided as per guidelines from MAKAUT. The college is affiliated to this university so follows the course accordingly. The teachers were good. Industrial exposure is not provided quite enough. But the college focuses well for the campus placements in the final year. The students are very well groomed before their campus interviews. Various training sessions are being conducted to help the students gain some confidence for the interviews. This really helps the students.

Many companies visit the college for on and off campus placements. So the students get a fair number of options for the placement and job opportunities.

College Events

The college festivals are not grand enough if you compare it with the IITs or IIMs but you will enjoy when you have a company of good friends. The college hosts annual tech fest Horizon. This is a two day event.It also has an annual Cultural fest. Apart from these various other events are hosted in the college which keep the students quite occupied.

Campus Life

The college campus is not very big but it is good. The college has a football, basketball and cricket ground. It also gym facilities. The library is quite good. All the course related books are made available in the library. So the student is not required to purchase the books on their own. The labs are also equipped well.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
