Remarks

I can't say any bad remarks for my college. We didn't have experienced it at all.

Entrance Preview

I took WBJEE ranked around 15000. Got a chance to study CSE. Also the communication was good from my home. Prospect was good. Thats why headed to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Basic and general study in 1st year. Then from 2nd to 4th year there were most of the computer related subjects. There were also some electrical and electronics subjects also.

Internships Opportunities

There is no such internship conducted by college. There were a lots of companies came for recruit. Tata consultancy,CTS,IBM, Wipro,Tech Mahindra were the majors of them. The average stipend was around 2.4 La annam. But depends on the company and skills.

College Fest was the major enjoyment. It used to celebrate for 3 days. Lots of activities and programs held on that time. There were freshers welcome,football tournament, annual sports etc was also celebrated.

At our time it was quite feasible but now a days that is become a huge expensive. We had to bear 2.5 lakhs for 4 years. It was taken before every semester.

There was education loan but I didn't avail it.

Campus Life

We had a great time with friends,teachers. We played different sports,enjoying festivals and also the classes.

Hostel Facilities

As I was not in hostel or mess I have no idea about this.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes we have a group and communication with each other. We have organised a reunion party very recently.

Exam Structure

All the exams was conducted under a strict rules. There were external guards from university. The labs were full of equipment,felicities.

Faculty

Most of them were highly educated. They had good skills to teach and control. Most of them was young and friendly.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
