Ishita Rana's Review On Hansraj College - [HRC], New Delhi

It's one of the top colleges of DU. Its faculty of commerce is really good infact one of the best in DU. It was best college I was getting in DU according to my merit for my course. This college provides you with lots of exposure. The college has a reputation for good placements. The thing like the most about the college is that teachers and seniors are really helpful there is a kind inclusivity. I opted for B.com(H) because I liked the subjects and had commerce stream in 12th class and had an aim of getting a college placement and as for the fact college placement for b.com and eco (Hons ) stream is higher in comparison to other courses.

The course is updated from time to time as and when need arises. Although could have been a more updated and revised according to the current patterns. The faculty is very good. The professors were really supportive. The professors were well versed and updated about all the details of their subject.They even helped us settling down in a new college environment.

A lot of companies come every year during placement season. To quote a few are the big 4s, Tata, Google, De Shaw, urban clap, maeritnation etc. And also the internship cell organises annually an intership fair in which lots of companies come and offer internship opportunities.

DU is known for its extra curricular activities,exposure and large scale fests and events. Hansraj being the part of North campus has close connectivity to all the other North campus colleges, markets food joints so the campus life is very fun and happening. The events are conducted the whole year every month you have some interesting events coming up. The events are well managed and properly organised and have crowd of most of college of DU circuit and even other universities. Hansraj alone has 36 societies catering to almost all the interest areas. The annual fest Confluence is huge and has a footfall of around 5000-7000.

The college campus is well maintained. All the classes have A/C's in A block and proper fans and lighting in all the block. Most of the lasses also have proper arrangements for projectors to aid the learning sessions. The library is well furnished and has proper seating arrangements. Labs are well equipped and we also have a big ground for all sports activities and proper coaches for sports students.

The university hostel has sufficiently enough space in a rooms for two. The hostel is also merit based and has a college wise seat breakup. So availability of hostel seat is not easy. The PGs average rental is usually 10k to 12 k that too with basic facilities. The rooms are small
