Remarks

Good Reputation among the colleges, good placement record, good alumni network. Nice campus, good professors. College is located in the city, good connectivity. Easily accessible. College got NAAC accredition.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is quite updated. Not much of industrial exposure is provided. Faculties are good, most of them Phd, few are mtechs. Rituparna Gosh was one the best faculty out there. There are many professors who are one of the best in their field of subject.

Placenment is good, many companies come for campus drive. Most of the students get placed, Amazon, Tcs digital, Tcs ninja come in the college. College has a good alumni network placed in various companies.

College Events

Techinal fests keep going around all the time, Cultural fests happens around april and is one of the best in the city, bollywood starts generally come and perform in the cultural fest. Students from all the colleges across the city participate in it.

Campus Life

College got a nice infrastructre, football ground, cricket ground, basket ball court, vollyball court, 2 cafeteria are present. Wifi is also available. Labs are nicely equiped with all the instruments and computer science labs are air-conditioned.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
