Remarks

This was the best college available based on my rank and I really liked its architecture and heard a lot about it from my peers. The college lived up to my expectations. The teachers are really supportive and the placement record was also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is good. The faculty members are really supportive and help us a lot when in trouble. The teachers give us notes and questions that really help us in our studies. The Electronics and Computee science faculties are top notch.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, DXC all came in the previous 3 years. Overall quite a number of small companies also came.

College Events

The technical fest is called Daksh. It is quite a celebrated event. The cultural fest is called eclecia and it is the third best fest in West Bengal. Last year Monali Thakur came and before that Farhan Akhtar came.

Campus Life

There is every single sport facility that one can think of, available from cricket to archery, every sport is supported and allowed to participate in. There is wifi in the library and tech labs. The library is quite big with books covering all topics that an engineer may need.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
