Nikita's Review On Lakshmibai College - [LBC], New Delhi

I have chosen this college because it offers very healthy environment to study and develop new skills. Lakshmibai college has excellent teaching faculty especially the Department of English. I have heard about this college before and I really wanted to take admission there. I wanted to get into a girls college and when I realised I can get admission here in the third cut off list, I was really happy. And then I made a decision to stay here and not to withdraw. All the departments of the college organise many seminars and workshops that really imparts knowledge. I love the college cafeteria. It offers tasty food at a very low price. And students of 2020 batch would also get an exposure to a newly built library which is really fantastic. I opted for English honours because I love reading books specially the crime fiction.

BA english honours is an absolutely a very interesting course where one develops strong opinion on different issues. It helps one to critically analyse things. It teaches different skills. This course offers one to study critically major works of literature that help one to understand different characters all around and help one to deal with all the situations that occur. It gives us the power to call up the shades of the greatest and wisest men that ever existed, and oblige them to converse with us on the most interesting topics. The department of English is worth complimenting. All the professors are really knowledgeable and have amazing style of teaching. Ms Sucheta Chaturvedi and Ms Ruchi mudeha are the best.

I had opted for 2 internships from Unnati- the knowledge hub for civil aspirants and Pocketfullofwords. I had worked as content writer.

College offers good placements, internships and job opportunities to students. It keeps on organizing internship mela in every semester which offers students healthy environment to learn new skills. There have been many companies that have visited the college and gave job opportunities to students.

I am having a very good experience in the college. The freshers given to us by the college was amazing but the fest wasn't good at all. There are different festivals that college holds like Diwali mela, Holi mela and many others. Different deoartments organise different seminars and workship for students. There are different societies in the college that organises extracurricular actitvities like Wall magazine society- Words Unlimited has organized different acitivities before like Open Mic, poetry recitation. College's drama society Navrangg is amazing. The western dance society Swayy has really talented dancers and their energy level is just fantastic. There are a lot of extracurricular activities going on in college almost every week.

Lakshmibai college is famous for its NCC and sports. The college offers the best sports facilities with an open gym to excercise. Theres a gym in the college too. The infrastructure is improving as construction is going on in the college. The cafeteria is the best. What the college lacks is an auditorium for 2500 people to sit. There are many buildings and 2 parks to hang around. College also provides Wi fi but its speed is a bit slow.
