This college is situated in the lust green area of north east making it a perfect place for studying and healthy life style. Also since it is college of national importance it has weighed quality. The fraternity and administration work with great enthusiasm for the best outcome of the students, Recently it has also been upgrade to 7th Best NIT among the other 31 NIT's, the professor here are highly qualified having field knowledge and imparting to us as best as they can, the intra curricular and extra curricular are properly balanced, as far as of now i am having a happy stay here.

The Course as far as mentioned is well prepared to qualify exams like CSIR-NET and GATE, it has planned syllabus with required subjects at required levels, it not a burden like in other Institutions. As i mentioned earlier the Curriculum is properly balanced with intra curricular activities which includes seminars, project presentation, science day celebration, workshops etc, and extra curriculum activites are fests, hostel premiere leagues, festive celebrations etc. The Academics and Faternity are best part of this institute being a institute of national importance it recruits highly qualified person in the particular field having a strong background and field work, the administration allows us to do projects under them which adds cheery to our cake i mean the knowledge we get from them is beyond explanation.

As far as job opportunities are considered, the IT departments have the best placement rates the technical dept. Gives better placement and job opportunities compared to the non technical branches. The highest paid salary is 28LPA by amazon to a student of CSE dept. To the non technical branches we have companies like doubtnut, Byjus etc participating in placement

The campus life as mentioned earlier is the best the lust green environment, the weather, less polution area and a perfect combination required to have a healthy life and to study. Adding to this we have two intensified fests conducted in a year one is the technical fest "THE TECNOESIS" people from all over North east come to share there technical innovation under a single platform, the other fest is "THE INCANDESCENCE" the largest cultural fest conducted in northeast where people from allover India come together to showcase their talent the DJ nights, the performances, fashion week prompt nights etc. Adds beauty to this fest. Talking about the extra curricular activities these runs throughout the year by various clubs like dram club, media club, dance club, music club, potential club, innovative club, startup center etc, this not only makes one fresh by mind but also by physique, it builds up the stage courage and improves once ability as a strong individualist.

The college infrastructure as of now to say is not advanced and is still under development it is spread over an area of 667 we have 19 inland lakes within the campus, a furnished sports complex with an auditorium to accommodate 4000 people at once, having two planned grounds i. e. cricket and football ground, taking about the labs i dont have an experience of labs in NITS as i am a mathematics students but our programming lab is well equipped and the numerical computational lab need to be furnished yet. The best part of Campus infrastructure is the digital library termed as to be the Asia's biggest Library the beauty of the building adds an extra star to the campus infrastructure it is well equipped with over 600 plus books on a particular topic and has a 2 floor fully shelved books.

Talking about the hostel facility at NITS there are 11 Boys hostel and 4 Girls hostel, the infrastructure and college building over here are like typical northeast buildings properly planned for well ventilation and for the morning sunrise to be seen. In some hostels even the sunset is clearly visible take my words you will love the infrastructure of hostel is worth spending your days here, the canteens, night canteen, short grounds, discussion area, TV room gives addon to the infrastructure. We have competition between hostels on various occasions and also in sports the best part is Hostel premier league
