Remarks
Many reasons were there to join the institute and one of them was the ranking, at that time NIT, hamirpur was at top in the list of NIT's. The weather of Himachal Pradesh was also a reason to get admission there as the area is having very silent and cool surroundings. The cleanliness of the campus also attracted me.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum has recently been changed due to some drawback which was not present at my time. In view of industrial exposure, student are not put under any pressure for applying for an internship program even in their first year. Some faculty are quite great in my department both in terms of knowledge and experience. e. g Prof. Anoop Kumar and Dr. Sant Ram Chauhan
Placement Experience
There are numerous company that visit our institute for recruitment in both core and IT sector. Most of which gets placed and it's great to say that out of which students are offered multiple placement choice also. Companies associated with my department that comes for recruitment process in our college are Honda, Thermax, Maruti, Hero etc. Placement process is not much complex
College Events
Campus is full of roller coaster ride and feel very sad to say it is what it is. Our Former Director was a quite narrow minded human. He has increased timing of lectures from 45 to 60. His only belief is that only reading and cramping books is only way to success unlikely the other institutions which focus on practical knowledge. But with entry of new director it might change but good things about is our college fest is one of beautiful fest of Himachal Pradesh. As a new entry there is always a fear about ragging but there is no such case as in our institute From our college there is lot of participants in SIH, Robotics society is present which participate in event associated with Robotics held every year in Pune.
