Remarks

Simple Criteria, Near from home, No donations, some faculties are from my area, good Communication, a better hostel facilities, friendly teachers, the fees is affordable, No ragging, seniors are pretty friendly in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses and curriculum are provided by West Bengal University of Technology. The academic field are pretty awesome, the data base management system, commerce, technical English, are quite advance. The computer science and it faculties are very friendly and always try to guide us

About 15 to 17 students applied for visited companies, two of them were placed in Capgemini. Almost all the the companies tried for aptitude test, and general discussion after that, but the companies are not so much popular, for about 3-4 years students tries there best to apply in offline campusing

College Events

The technical ground is satisfying, cultural event are almost regular, festivals like vishwakarma puja and teachers day, saraswati puja are held by the college management team, the annual college fest are pretty awesome and there are many participants in about online tournament and quiz competition

Campus Life

Sports facilities are pretty good, Wi-Fi is available, size of library is pretty big, equipments are usually available in labs, there are many technical books even the post graduation books in our library.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
