Remarks

Shri Shikshayatan College is among the top young ladies universities in Kolkata. It has a decent framework and completely prepared and present day labs for different subjects. The workforce is extraordinary.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers in our college have good knowledge. They teach us what life is all about. They are very professional. There is a connection between student and teacher, but outside we don't have any connection. They give importance to our personal life.

The college has a good placements record. Some companies like HCL, Cognizant, Uber, etc., visit our college for placements. It also provides diploma courses. It has a good name, which helps the students to get good placements in a good company.

College Events

Cultural events organised at our college are better than any other colleges in West Bengal. The college gives more importance to extracurricular activities than studies and events takes place every month, students take part in almost every events from painting to dancing to singing.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
