Remarks

I really like the campus and the placement is good. I saw that this is a very gopd College and it provides scholarship for the student passing above certain percentage in their exam. This is an advantage for someone who doesn't have much financial background.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think it should have been implemented a long time ago and the attendance issue should have been taken care of too. The pressure of attendance is also a problem in academics. But the option of choosing any subject was very amazing.

I have interned for one program in the past for digital marketing. And now i am pursuing two internship in digital marketing and the pr team

Placement Experience

The sources of my college is very good and i think the placement area is also very good. The groups involved in our college take very good step for the placement and make sure everyone is suited to the best

College Events

We hold a lot of activities and fests for the compitition and management area. Alot of the top colleges participate and have a good time on the campus. We arrange a very big food festival for the hotel management students for their practice.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 2 different type of scholarship in the college merit and quota merit. You can apply for anyone according to your percentage

Campus Life

We have a whole floor for put department we have atleast 10 different rooms for all different activities. We are provided with a library, a language class, a cafe and the teachers are very kind and flexible about the studies.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
