Remarks

I choose this college because it is very well known college for commerce stream in Kolkata as well as this college is very close to my house. My teachers and seniors had suggested me this college. They said that the teachers there are all good. The educational environment are also very nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have a great experience till now. Both our management and Faculty are friendly. So our academics have become so easy. With my experience, I can say our faculty are good in terms of teaching and also managing events. They are really friendly on that.

Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

As far as I know about the placement it is that many reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, amy, ICICI, etc., come to our college and select eligible candidates after taking exams which is done through a process and they offer impressive salary. This is only for graduates. It's a good chance for many freshers to get hired through their capabilities, skills and intelligence.

College Events

Campus life is great. Everyone is helpful. Be it cultural events, fests, sports activities, it has been a wholesome experience. Our College holds event time to time for the betterment of students. Our campus is eco friendly surrounded with lot of trees so that we can breathe fresh air everyday.

Campus Life

Many facilities are there including a beautiful garden at the entrance, free Wi-Fi for college students, canteen, grand hall for several ethical and college functions, play area and parking lot at the back of our campus, computer lab, different office for different departments and lot more. Our college holds sports every year on a big stadium. Our library is awesome. We have two libraries in our college. One is central library which have a collection of more than 3000 books, it is very beautiful and big too. Another one is seminar library which also has a good collection of books. And the management of both the libraries are awesome.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
