Remarks

It is close to my Home. It has good Faculty. It's a morning college so it suited my schedule. With my boards marks I didn't get selected in too many colleges for Economics Hons. Among the ones I got selected in, this college seemed the best option. This is a mainly Commerce based college where faculty for Economics is also renowned. Traveling is easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

Too less professors in the Economics dept to teach Honours papers, but the professors present are good. Two experienced senior teacher helped throughout. I am a student from 1+1+1 system (one exam per year), so attendance wasn't that big of an issue in our case, but with the new semester system, the college is more strict and disciplined.

Internships Opportunities

I've been a Campus Rep at Viacom18 for a year. A Campus Ambassador at TinderU. A Team Leader at the Woovly Campus Ambassador Program, where we used to get incentives per month. I'm currently the Community Manager at GROOVE X, which is an artist and Event Management Company.

Placement Experience

I don't know about any placements offered by our college. I don't think our college offers anything of that sort. Our General Secretary started an Event Management Company of her own which is doing well.

College Events

Our college holds internal functions, no inter college festivals are organised. The biggest event organised is our College Socials. Other than that we have a holi festival, Freshers, Annual Prize Day, sports day, Teachers' day and Independence day functions.

Campus Life

Infrastructure quality is poor. Cleanlines is an issue. Library is good. There's no lab. There's a common room where teams practice for extra curricular activities, but it's not clean. The ground ain't suitable to practice sports that comfortably. There's greenery in the campus. It looks good in the morning light. Canteen is average. Classrooms are mostly spacious.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
