Remarks

it is one of the best college in kolkata. It rank no. 3 in kolkata and its campus is very beautiful. The facilities are very good and the faculty is very helpful. The college is under a very good university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is very much updated. Yes there is enough industrial exposure. Faculties are very much helpful and trust worthy. Mechanical faculty is the best and it stands with development of students in not only education sector but also character development.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities are very good specially in IT sector. There are many job opportunities in the mean time of graduation. The companies like wipro, TCS, Microsoft is visited the college and offer jobs to the students.

College Events

There is a lot of extracurricular activities in technical sector as well as in sports sector. Lots fest arrange by the technical and cultural clubs of the college in whole year. There are so many competitions like intra events.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
