Remarks

Quality of education and enormous approach of startup companies in this college compared to others, especially in that area. Also, lots of extra-curricular activities such as- online courses(in which maximum are free), seminars/workshops, club activities, projects/papers, internships, research papers, patents, advanced certification, high and certification and new languages too.

Course Curriculum Overview

Previously the college followed the MAKAUT syllabus, but, since past few years as the college has been reframed as an autonomous institute, there's been a revolutionary change both internally and externally. Currently, everything is evaluated and sorted in terms of quality of education and teaching. Talking about the industrial visits; there were enough not only to have an idea regarding the type of work and environment in industries but also to have an early experience in it. Every year there are almost 5-6 industrial visits by our college for the students. Overall the faculties are great and quite student-friendly. There's nothing like a student-teacher relationship, rather a friendship relation. The teachers here are always interactive with the students and try to fix and resolve the issues that concern the students. In my opinion, every faculty is at their best because it's impossible to select good teachers among all, but still, I have a name who helped me a lot since my first day in college, he was none other than current HoD of Physics dept. i.e., our Honourable Mr Subhomoy Singha Roy.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has always been on a progressive scale in terms of placements and job opportunities. Every year more number of startup companies approach our college campus looking for young talents. Especially, the department from where I belong i.e., CSE has the maximum number of students placed in IT sectors. TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, IBM, Amazon, etc., are some common and major companies who visit our campus every year and hires almost a bunch of students. The most important role played behind this bulk-hiring process of students is done by the Placement & Training Committee. The committee along with the faculty, train students for the selection process and interview.

College Events

5

The college celebrates every festival irrespective of anything. The involvement and effort shown by our teachers are at a peak point. All the technical, cultural and management events held at our college campus. Events like- tech-fests, CSI workshops, Hackathon, etc., are major among all the events which create a deep-sensational impact on the students and influence them to participate more and more. Participation from different colleges and schools are seen. The students here along with the teachers volunteer and take part immensely to increase the influence of the events. The events take place at periodic intervals of time i.e., each month there's a fixed schedule in which this takes place. So, through all these events and festivals, funds are generated which is, later on, send to different charity homes, social welfare clubs, etc., for the benefit of our society. Our college is always ahead in organizing such events. This is done for the betterment of students so that more number of students take part and do something different apart from their academics.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
