Remarks

Because it's one of the best and reputed college in kolkata for commerce. And teachers are very friendly.Staffs are quite good. College atmosphere is good. And I wanted to persue graduation degree from this college. Last but not the least it provides a lot of placement options

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are quite good. In case of commerce academic result of ssc is also quite good. But for commerce syllabus is quite good. But you have to read 4 subjects except Honours paper in your sem 1.

Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

It is probably one of the very few colleges which have it's own placement cell. Many renowned companies visit our college for placements every year.

College Events

There are many extracurricular activities. And students are really enjoy it. Even winners are given gifts and certificate. And ssc girls are waiting for Srijan. It's the most awaiting events for ssc girls.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
