Remarks

I wanted to study B.sc Agriculture but didn't get admission in Government agriculture university and couldn't crack icar ug. Therefore had to take admission here. This a good private agriculture university compared to others. This isn't Icar acreedated. The fees(42000) is less compared to other universities. The neotia university offers good faculties in agriculture. There are good labs & large field for practical. I'd say this the best private agriculture university in West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Neotia University is strictly following the icar curriculum. Hopefully soon they will get icar acreedation. M.sc & PhD scholars are faculties there. Smart classroom, good labs & large field for practical.

Course Fees: INR 42000 per year

Placement Experience

Agriculture graduates don't get placement after Graduation. Agriculture study is all about entrances. After graduation either you opt for government jobs or take msc entrance exams. But in other courses offered by The Neotia University like hospitality & culinary arts, they get good placements & nice internships in college life. The engineering department placements are not that good.

College Events

This is a green & refreshing campus. There are a lot clubs in the University like cultural club, welfare club, sports club, photography club, tech club & many more. The fest is amazing, this year EPR (MTV HUSTLE RUNNER UP) performed. A lot of extracurricular activities are there. Even a gym & swimming pool is also there.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Neotia University offers varieties of scholarship Programs. For backward class with 60% marks-25% reduction is semester fee. For students with 81-85%- 25%, 86-90%- 50%, 90-95%- 75% reduction. They offer many more.

Hostel Facilities

The girls hostel is a four storied building. The hostel rooms are good with 3 girls per room for girls & 2 boys per room for boys. Separated hostels for boys & girls. Laundry for bed sheets & pillow cover is included. Meals are breakfast, lunch, evening snack & dinner with veg & non veg options. This is an on campus hostel. There is tight security. All in 35000 rs per semester.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Admission can be taken here only after completing higher secondary from a legitimate institution. This college has its own website on Google, from there the admission process can be completed. One can sit for the final semester exam by taking the two main tests of each semester. I have no idea about improving the admission process...Read More

Overall it was a smooth process. But there were many areas were they gave me misinformations like the course has been updated to 4 years but they gave me a bonafide of 3 years and i came to know it after my loan was passed.
