Reason for college- Convenient Location, Good societies exposure and good placement record. Reason for course- Interest in commerce field and always wanted to keep many career options in front of me to pursue which b.com(hons) gives.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.com(hons) is worth taking as most of the subjects that we study are relevant to students. It gives the basic knowledge to pursue a career in any field whether its Marketing, HR or Finance. Moreover, Shivaji college provides lot of internship opportunities which ultimately helps students to have the required exposure. Faculties of commerce department is great. They are actually good in terms of teaching and know how to take class.
Internships Opportunities
I did internship from Money Roller as Equity Research Intern. There was no stipend but the knowledge they give is tremendous for a college students, though it is difficult to get internship there.
Placement Experience
TresVista, EY, Investosure, DeShaw (off campus), Genpact, S&P Global, Royal bank of Scotland, Bajaj Capital, Flipkart, Urbanclap and many reputed companies come to our college. Profiles offered are Analyst, Research, Content Writing, Marketing and Sales, Finance, Strategy and HR.
College Events
College fests, internship fair, and other society events are superb. You will actually get the best exposure, you be a part of societies and you will realize yourself. Even the level of events is great. In my last 2 years, this thing is one of the most important reason that I like this college.
Campus Life
We have a good library, sports complex, an average canteen and an average auditorium, though now one more auditorium which is good in terms of infrastructure. Other than this, infrastructure is not so good.
