Remarks
I did my graduation in St. Xavier's College, Burdwan. So, I wanted to do my post graduation from St. Xaviers only. That's why I chose this University. Once a Xaverian always a Xaverian. I also joined this University because how privileged it is and the campus is very nice. The teachers are friendly and so are the students. Also there is the brand value. I have also taken the hostel and the hostel is also very nice with good rooms and good food. I have always preferred to put quality before quantity in my life. On that principle also this University naturally becomes my first choice. As the medium of my academic life since my alma matter, is English, therefore, to choose this University for Masters is an obvious choice.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think the course and curriculum of our University, as per as my department is concerned, it is exceptionally updated in comparison with contemporary other universities. When the question of industrial exposure comes, to complete our project, as per scheduled program with successful outcome. The faculty is very good and friendly.
Placement Experience
The placement process is good. Many companies come here for placements and a good number of students find it very helpful. Infact many companies come on a daily basis for their advertisement and tell us why we should join them.
College Events
My campus life was eventful and secure. There are many societies created by the student committee of the University. Societies like debate society, poetry society, music society, dance society, etc. The events that are held are very good and enjoyable. The standard of a Xavier's event is always have been very high and it is really.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know about them. But I am sure there are scholarship facilities offered by the University. I am also sure there are loan facilities too. The fees for the semester can paid in installments and it is a great help.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure is very good with wifi availability, the library is also supplied with enough books. Every class is supplied with air conditioning. Evey class is a smart class. The campus is quite big and a whole floor is provided to a particular course. One can get wifi facility all the time in the academic building as well as the hostel. There are other rooms for other activities. There are amphitheatres. There is also a stationary shop inside the academic building which is a great help. There are 2-3 canteens for students and faculties. The most important part is the campus is filled with trees and plants which is a specialty of Xavier's.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very nice with decent rooms and decent food. The rooms are sharing with 2 or 3 people. The rooms are very spacious with necessary facilities. There are rooms with attached bathrooms also.
