Remarks

It is an NAAC "A" grade college and has excellent Science Faculties. The college is well maintained and has a big playground for extracurricular activities. Students can get involved in various cultural activities throughout the year. The college also has an excellent library and we'll maintained laboratories. The seniors are supportive and helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is accredited to Calcutta University and follows it's guidelines. The college has some great professors among the faculty. The college has a good heritage and is still maintaining its standard. Every semester students from one or the other departments come in the top 3 position in the University exam.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

Opportunities are decent for good students. Rather students who pass out usually opt for further studies than jobs.

College Events

The campus life is awesome. Fests and other cultural activities happen throughout the year. The campus life is fun. The college union organises various events. There is opportunity for students to join NCC. Sports facilities in the campus is also great.

Campus Life

Excellent Campus and has a huge playground for extracurricular activities. The college has a decent library with good collection of resources. The laboratories are well maintained. All the required equipments are present and are maintained. The campus has free wifi for students.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
