College experience at JSPM'S Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering Pune

Recently the college has got autonomy with affiliation to savitribai phule pune university. College campus is not so good not so bad. College lies on Mumbai Bangalore highway in a small place named Tathawade which lies under Pimpri chinchwad municipal corporation. College have many activities throughout the year including first year inauguration ceremony, innovation exhibition, annual fest gandharva and has many clubs like robotics club, mech tech club, dance and theater club, sustainability club, mechagri club, rotract club, coding club, TEDx club, department level clubs, etc. College also provide good canteen and hostel services. Being autonomous a student can add number of subjects in his syllabus and college has modified the syllabus towards industrial knowledge being stuck on the guidelines given by university. College also provides university toppers and growing fast in ranking from surveys by different public and private organizations.

Civil engineering is the basic and fundamental branch of engineering. And being a core branch one can avail many aspects studying in Civil engineering. The department of civil engineering at college contains around 114 faculty members all having masters and PhD in different fields of civil engineering and a great experience of teaching. The teaching and learning process is very interactive and a group of 20 students are given a faculty member to mentor them called gfm(guardian faculty members) who keeps record of these students and help them with every problems like coping difficulties, making resources available, even in financial problems and mental distresses. College keeps on taking faculty assessment survey/review from students once a month and make changes accordingly. Regular assessment is done with online tests and class test. Parents are kept in contact and regular reports and analytics and statistics are discussed with them.

Many companies also come to offer internships to students and help them to develop their project. College even have a research development and patent team which helps student in projects research publishing papers and getting patents.

The placement cell is one of the best cell and is headed by S.P.rao Borde sir who is one of the most renowned person in industries. Placement in college is around 90% and students are offered high packages from 3 lpa to 20 lpa. Top companies like Microsoft byjus TCS wipro tata etc companies come for placement.

The fees structure is simple. One can pay fees once or in 2 or 3 installments. The seats are limited and admission is done through cet cell of department of technical education of government of Maharashtra. One can avail government scholarship if eligible. There are many private scholarships given by different organizations and companies like Cummins India etc.

The annual event is gandharva and technical event is innovission which are conducted every year on 30th and 31st January. There's a large library and even a e-library in campus. One can find many textbooks references for different subjects and a large reading hall where you can study or read books. College also has a gym and a ground for sport activities. There are number of extracurricular activities and programs in campus and large number of technical and social clubs run by the students in college like shashwat eco sustainability club helps the society by working on sustainable hygiene and health problems in localities and also works for UBA in 5 villages in pune. There's a great theater club named rangbhumi for practical theater artist and includes acting dancing music art and craft backstage and writing. They also perform at firodiya karandak.The college dance crew hiphopers is one of the top dancing crew in pune and has participated in around 25 events from which around 23 are won.
