The admission process was a well-structured procedure starting from registering for the university. After that, there was document submission and then the entrance test namely 'IPUCET' took place which was a well-structured test with equal importance to all the three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and the difficulty level was on a higher side as it is expected in an entrance exam. Then was choice filling. So I filled my college. Counseling was online with a list of max ranks allowed to be displayed and we had 2 days to freeze our seat in the college....Read More

The admissions in GGSIPU is based on IPU-CET rank. I used to regularly visit the university website. I got admission through the open spot counselling round. On the counselling day, I was supposed to be present on the university campus, Dwarka. After one level of verification of documents, I waited for my rank to be called for the counselling process. A screen displayed seats left in different courses of IPU affiliated colleges. They were calling out the range of rank and students were assembling for further verifications and enrolment to a college. The screen was updated to show the remaining seats left. They directed selected students for payment of counselling fee and generation of provisional admission slip. It was one day process. The next day I joined the college and submitted photocopies of the 10th and 12th marksheet and provisional certificate the following week....Read More

At my time there were only 2-3 companies which came for campus placement for mechanical engineering students. Whereas a lot of companies came for IT, CSE, ECE, ICE. And most of the big IT giants like infosys, wipro etc. they did bulk placement in alternate years. Like if in 2015 wipro did bulk placement then in next year other company like infosys will do bulk placement....Read More
