2nd best college in East India according to NAAC

Being started in rural area now the college is the shelter of success for several young minds. The college strives to bring out the best in studies with abundant preparation for the students limitless future. This college is accredited by NAAC and awarded CGPA-3. 60 out of 4. 0 in the 3rd overview. Now it has become 2nd best college in East India and 7th best in whole India. college gives various facilities like reading room, library, laboratory, computer etc.

The course curriculum is very good for students future studies. In every semester after two internal assessment students have to appear in final examination. But most of the teachers keep same to same questions which he had taught the students in class. Thus many students pass with great marks in spite of not learning the subject thoroughly. As a result although being a great number holder they can't crack competitive exams for higher studies after the course.

Being a general degree college, it does not provide a good placement system after graduation. Many of the students also completes master degree from here. A few companies comes and hire students by interview. After completing graduation some of the students select B. Ed. programe and some go to various coaching centre for govornment jobs.

In our college a cultural programe is barely celebrated. very few teacher's and student's presence are seen in a event. Actually the college authority don't give much importance to such ceremony even in annual fest. But in every year the college arranges a science fair which looks fairly interesting to me.

I think the admission fees is feasible for all students than other general degree colleges. The fees are taken by college authority through their online forum. The practical based subjects takes more fees relatively. In the money receipt the controller section explains the fees distribution clearly.

College does not offers any scholarship opportunities. Students who got well marks in Higher Secondary examination get scholarships from government by keeping 60 percent marks in semester result. Belonging to a middle class family, if I opted for any scholarship or educational loan, I will be able to continue my studies after graduation in a renowned institution to fulfil my dream of research.

The college campus is very clean and eco-friendly. There are nearly 4500 students in our college and girls are more than boys in number. In every year cultural competitions are arranged for cultural development of students as well as education and the regular seminar in various topics makes an opportunity for knowing many things for students.

I was not opted for hostel as there are a few number of seats. I used to stay in a mess near to the college from where I had to go regularly to college by foot. the rent of the mess was 3000 (with food) and in a room 4 students were allowed to stay. The surrounding was quiet enough to study which is the most important thing for a student.

In this college senior students are very helpful to junior students and ragging on new comers is strictly prohibited here. Senior students also play an important role in arranging any departmental event.

After getting result of Higher Secondary I registered online for councelling. After publishing the merit list on the scheduled date we all had to go to the college and they called the students one after one on the basis of the total number and the number of the subject in which a student intended to take honours.

Very few teachers of every department of our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The participation of part timers and guest teachers more than profeesors in a department worsen the quality of education. Regular attendance is mandatory in the college. Most of the teachers don't give any importance in competitive examination like JAM, TIFR etc. after graduation which is too bad for students future.
