College management is pretty supportive and responsible in achieving the level of excellence in academics as well as the smooth operation of the institution.
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently CET is offering B. Tech, M. Tech, P. G. MCA and MBA courses. B. Tech is of 4 years and M. Tech is of 2 years following semester trend. For MBA trimester trend is followed. Engineering courses are under KTU university. So far the curriculum is far away from industrial exposure knowledge. There are industrial visits arranged by the faculty and internships are taken by the students themselves.
Placement Experience
Every year more than 30 companies come to the campus. Top companies like Oracle, IBM, ABB, Siemens come around once in two years. Nearly 70% students get placed each year. Most of the companies conduct a written test followed by multiple rounds of interview. The institution always make sure to arrange placement training to the pre-final year students. It also gives guideline for attempting recruitments.
College Events
CET is famous for its national level arts fest Dhwani and technical fest Drishti. It is celebrated every year. People from all over the state come to attend the events. Both the events are held for a period of 3 days. Numerous competitions are also coordinated and pre-event workshops of state level are also conducted. Apart from these, events such as DISHA :arts fest for freshers, Sargam: arts fest for all year undergraduate students, and also various inter department level events are conducted every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a state government college, programme fee is in affordable range(INR 8000 per annum). So far fee is accepted in the cash counter as liquid money. Initiative for digital fee payment has already started. One time payment fee such as PTA fee is included which is of only a small amount. The college holds a transparent fee payment system.

Yes, the college offers opportunities for getting various scholarships. Each time a scholarship is announced, the same is circulated to reach all students. Eligibility criteria depends on the type of scholarship. The amount also depends on the type of scholarship.
Campus Life
Male to Female ratio is somewhat like 5:1. Student parties are also present inside the campus for giving an insight into the political world. They are so many clubs in the campus. Technical clubs such as IET, Robocet, ISTE, arts clubs like Music club, Shutter bugs for photography etc are also functioning inside the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors who got placed are of great help for us to prepare for placement. They impart a detailed a view on the architecture of the academics-industry relation. Alumini are also helpful in assisting us in various courses and scholarships.
Admission
Admission to the college is made through KEAM entrance test. CET is the top state engineering college in Kerala. Most of the department's closing rank is near 1000. Mainly 3 stages of allotments will be put for admission. After getting shortlisted, one has to submit the required documents on the date specified by the college.
Faculty
Including the lab staff our department have more than 30 staff members. All of them are experienced teachers having a profound knowledge in their respective areas. Most of them hold a Ph. D. degree. Some of them are having an industrial level exposure which helps us to clearly understand the subject they teach us. Guest lectures are also there in the faculty. Profeesors are very helpful and supportive in assisting us in our every step in the academics.
