Remarks
Tourist Place and nice environment and well known college in Nilgiris and relatives live near the college. The tuition fees is also less compared to colleges in main cities. No donation. Good hostel facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus was according to Anna Univ syllabus and norms. This college has the 2nd best infrastructure and labs for hands on training for mechanical students. Faculties are very good and friendly.
Placement Experience
Placement is average since mostly bpo companies visit the college. Off campus placements are better. The placement in these bpo companies is 100%. Entrepreneur cell ensures that the students are informed about career opportuinities with guest speakers enilightening the students occasionally. Few of the students have started their own companies eg Codicature.
College Events
Technical symposiums for every department individually is held every year with guest speeches and games and technical exhibitions. The highlight of the symposiums is the mechanical department symposiums where riders and racers from across the state join in to hold mud races and bike stunts. Cultural festivals like pongal, onam, christmas are held with dances, competitions and festive wear. At times food festivals are also held where students can set up their own food and recreational stalls.
Campus Life
There is a huge college ground just outside d college in addition to many small grounds inside the campus for sports, ncc, etc. Wifi is available in the library and the library spans one full floor with even digital library facilities. Lab equipments are available for all students to work individually with good support from lab staffs. Separate labs for each subject is available.
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostel is spacious and have a big garden where students can use freely for studying or hanging out. Tennis court and volleyball court is also available. A college dispensary is located alongside the girls hostel. Each hostel room has 2 to 3 bunk beds to accomodate 3 to 6 students depending on the room size. A big mess hall is available with hot food being served with good quality and the students have the liberty to decide on the food menu. The hostel also has wifi facility and a inhouse canteen were the students can buy snacks and essentials.
