A rapidly growing newly established institution

The college has a long way to go. But still the growth till date has been significant.

The college is affiliated to MAKAUT, the state's technological university. It follows AICTE curriculum. The syllabus is provided by the state university. Apart from the various assignments and projects the final assessment is done through end- semester examinations conducted by the University.

The college is new(estd. 2016). The 1st batch graduated in 2020 with about 40% placements. The college was able to bring 8-10 companies this year.

There are numerous events celebrated throughout the academic year. Starting with the Fresher's inauguration ceremony. Then there is the teacher's day, college foundation day, Vishwakarma puja and the Cultural and Technical Fest. Besides these there are various sports and cultural events organised by the various clubs in the college.

Being a state run institution the fee is quite feasible. For my course the tution fee is 1000rs per month. Besides these there are some one time payments that are to be made at the time of admission which totals upto 6000rs. The payments is done by demand draft issued by any nationalised bank.

The college dont have any scholarship programme of its own. The students may avail government funded scholarships which are provided based on merit and financial status.

The gender ratio is about 1girl:5boys. The students comes from various backgrounds with different caste,religion, and economic status. There is no discrimination based on these. The college has a healthy and friendly environment. There are numerous clubs like debate,drama,art etc. which holds events of their own.

I didn't opt for the hostel. I live in a PG whose monthly rent is 2000rs. There are a huge number of pg so accomodation is not a problem. The rent is between 1500-2000. The number of student per pg varies.

Technically the first batch of alumni graduated this year. College seniors have always been helpful from the very 1st day. we can always count on them for any kind of help.

Like all other state run technical colleges, the admission is through the WBJEE. After the results are out we have to fill up our college choices in a e-counselling process. The seat is alloted according to the rank obtained by the student. Even after the process ends seats may remain vacant which are filled by decentralised counselling conducted by the college authority itself.

The faculty is top notch. Majority of them hold PhD. and have had meritorious academic career at esteemed institutions and vast experience. As for my course there are 7 lecturers with average age around 40-45 yrs with all of them having a master's degree atleast.
