College management is good but I would say they are money minded as they impose fine on every thing. If you are late and didn't took the marksheet on time you have to pay Rs. 2000.

WBJEE, Got 19008 rank in 2012. The main reason I opt for this college because of its location Kolkata.

The course structure was not that good. The labs were not well equipped. Subjects in semester is divided equally. Everyone had to study five to six subjects every semester. There are more than eight streams to pursue engineering. And in all streams Computer science & engineering and Electronics and communication engineering are the best one. College doesn't focus on research.

No internship was provided by the college. They only conduct a 10-15 days training after 3rd year. And in the name of that training they didn't returned the caution money. Which was Rs 30000 in 2012. I don't know how much they take now.

When I took admission in 2012, the placement was very good that year. But after that placement declined. Because after 2012 the condition of market was not that good. So the companies who visited requite less students. Major companies who visited the college are TCS, Mind tree, Johnson control etc.

College cultural festival Mesmerizer is not being celebrated since 3 years. Freshers party for the first year was celebrated in 2012 and after that freshers party is history. Since college has students who are good at dancing and other co curricular activities. Cultural festival is again going to be celebrated this year.

Fee of all private college in kolkata is more or less near 80,000 pa. In first year we have to pay 36000 per semester and every year it increase by Rs. 1000 like 37000 fir third and fourth semester. Also Rs.1000 as exam fee in each semester had also be paid.

No, no scholarship is provided by the college. But the West Bengal government is providing tuition fee waiver scheme for bengal domiciles. And in TFW scheme the fee becomes Rs 1000 per semester.

Gender ratio is good 60% boys and 40% girls. There is a tech club Phoenix. And this tech club is the best thing of college. If you joined this tech club your college life will be awesome. This tech club has various other groups such as Robotics, Ethical hacking and many other groups. They organised a tech fest called Avenir.

The college doesn't have a hostel, students have to rent PG. The college management wants to build a hostel but the locals create problems and they didn't want the hostel to be built. They earn surplus amount of rent by students. But the PG in this area is not very expensive and easily affordable.

Yes, seniors are very helpful but college doesn't have a great alumni network. As the seniors and juniors live in same PG they become good friends and become always connected.

Exam structure is good. Results come on time. But almost every students depend on Organizers which provide previous 10 year question.And it is more than sufficient to pass exams. So there is a culture to study the organizer a night before exam pass with flying colors.

In case of faculty NSEC had very good faculty as well as some faculty is below average. And one more thing almost all teacher tend to teach in bengali. So if you are a non bengali you are in problem. Almost 80% students of the college are bengali and rest came from Bihar and Jharkhand. As the major chunk of students are bengali faculties doesn't bother to teach in English. But some faculty understand the problem of students and they teach in English.
