About college and academics

College is having a good facilities and systems are ecofriendly. There are a number of factors for students to like this college. The management is somewhat doing an average and some rules by the management regarding some campus activities are need to be rechecked.

There are 8 semesters and each semester is having 6 regular papers and 2 labs. The duration of each semester is 5 or 6 months. The exam is somewhat very tough and is harder to become pass under this KTU. There are so many programs are organizing in the college to get an extra specific knowledge and to get a working experience in the labs to get familiar with it. The are a number of opportunities there for the graduates through placements.

This college is providing internships on various trades. The college is having zonal offices and branches of various companies inside the campus so that it is helpful to get internships directly inside the campus. Also there is a placement cell which is working with full assurance to get tied up with several companies and MNCs.

There are management, technical and cultural fests are celebrated in this college. This college is having a large number of students as compared to other colleges nearby so the programmes organizing will be interesting and it will be great a chance for the enthusiastic students. Also other some functions organized with the support of university and government.

The fee structure is somewhat expensive. The fee is less for the merit admission students and little more for the management admission students. An expensive fee is also there for the hostel room facilities and mess. The payment accepted in all means through bank transfer, direct liquid cash, or post through college site online etc.

The college is offering scholarships to the outstanding students but only for a few based on some terms and conditions. The eligibility criteria for this is based on the engineering merit rank, plus two mark and overall perfomance.

This is the largest engineering college in kerala based on infrastructure. The college is having a large area and there are so many facilities there. The campus life is awesome and interesting. The ratio of boys is higher than that of girls. There are so many extracurricular activities there and interested students have to join it. All the students in the college are categorized into 6 different houses and the sports meet is done within the basis of it. A well equipped lab and other automated facilities are there and a good compensation is giver for good projects done by students.

Yes, they are helpful in many ways. The placed seniors are helpful by giving enough advices and helping in final year projects and alumni network is organizing various events in campus and some get togethers.

The admission is through the centralized allotment process after the result publication of KEAM and it is done based on the KEAM score and plus 2 mark list. The list is created by the Higher education Department. I choose this course to become an engineer, my wish from childhood. The college is really good and nice ambience.

The faculty is the main part behind every students good perfomance and career. The most of the faculties of this college is having a working experience from years and some others are newly joined. Some faculties have to improve more. There are several activities are there like staff training programmes at regular intervals.
