Remarks

College campus, faculty and pedagogy are good. But placement cell should be more efficient.

Course Curriculum Overview

Profeesional course, practical experience, regular workshops, profeesional skill development programs, communication build up, personality grooming program, mentor mentee program. Industrial specific knowledge sharing sessions. But no industrial visit conducted.

Placement Experience

Internship and placement can be better.as good industrial exposure is required.Placement package should be at per with course fee.

College Events

Internal College Fest, college competition, industrial visit, celebration of various festivals, cultural activities, dance competition, regular interactive sessions, picnic, debate competition, art competition, singing talent hunt, prize distribution ceremony.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Course fee is as per industry standards. Cash, cheque, demand draft, bank loan, down payment options available. No additional charges were there to secure admission to a particular course. College provided transperancy in the fee breakdown. Annual payment allowed.

Fees and Financial Aid

College did not offer any scholarships. Bank loan facility is there. I took bank loan.It was an educational loan.

Campus Life

Equal gender ratio maintained. Various course related workshops were conducted on daily basis. Diverse students mixed well with local students. No discrimination was there based on race, religion, sexual orientation, political thoughts and economic background.

Hostel Facilities

No it was not a residential course. I did not for hostel or PG accomodation. Couple of outstation students opted for nearby hostel and PG accomodation. College has no hostel facility. College is situated in the heart of the city.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with seniors were good. They were supportive towards newcomers. Helped a lot to get accustomed with the course curriculum.

Admission

Good Campus, AICTE accreditation, received positive feedback from alumni. Good faculty and effective mentor mentee program. Appropriate curriculum followed. College location is good. Regular course related workshops were being conducted. Personality development program was also there.

Skilled and experienced Faculty, extremely supportive, result oriented. Imparted correct managerial abilities to the students. Proper guidance to each students to explore their strengths and opportunities. Adherance to organizational policies. Always motivating and encouraging students towards learning and gaining knowledge.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college over the other colleges because cost and quality of education was a significant fact with some colleges had higher tuition fees. My college provide similar Academy facilities at a more affordable cost with a easy of admission procedure. This college has a wide range of programmes, making it easier to choose my interest in. I was very confused with my course choosing only because I'm from science bckground and now totally into business field. This decision actually had few steps. Like I was very interested towards agriculture but in kolkata there were no proper agriculture institute so it was in the exterior side of kolkata for which i had to shift so i made a choice that it would be best to study from LPU punjab as its the best.
