Under Faculty of Agriculture you have got 16 different Departments. In UG course you have to go through all the subjects that come under this Faculty. After completing B.Sc. many doors become opened which you can opt for. Most of the people think there's nothing interesting in this course, it's like below the standard and all, most surprisingly they treat us as if we are becoming future farmers of the society. Jokes apart, if you think by taking this course you can somehow avoid your subjects of less interest like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, etc. then I would tell you it's an amalgamation of all subjects. Agriculture is the only course where you'll have to grow your knowledge in Biochemistry, Maths, Physics, Economics, and a lot of other sibjects. And a lot of jobs are there for you even after completing B.Sc. course. You can apply for MBA course like Rural Management, etc; apply for SSC, WBCS, UPSC exams; apply for jobs in Banks, private sectors, sit for JRF; apply for jobs in IFFCO, apply for ADA exams,etc. A variety of options are waiting for you as soon as you complete your B.Sc. honours.

Basically we have got 3 faculties in our university main campus - Agriculture, Horticulture, AgriculturalEngineering; but in our campus only 1 faculty (Agriculture) is there at present. Course syllabuses are all updated. Since Agriculture is a practical based course so lab work, field work, are essential. Other faculties are also good.

Placement and job opportunities are vast as you can click to a large number of ways after UG course. Various companies like IFFCO, etc come in the campus after B.Sc. completion so you get a lot of choices.

In our campus 4 main Cultural Programmes are held which are of greater importance to us - 1.Freshers Programme, 2.Rabindra Jayanti Celebration, 3.Inter-class Competitions (which include - Dance, Recitation, Cricket, Football, Badminton, Fashion Show, etc.), 4.Farewell Programme. Besides, we celebrate each and every occasion like Teachers' Day, Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Republic Day, Biswakarma Puja, etc. We celebrate every single occasion with great enthusiasm. The most exciting thing is in you 4 years of UG life you'll get to make 2 excursion trips to other states of India.

I have availed Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, which gives 18000 per year. Every year you need to renew or reapply for the scholarship based on the previous exam result.

Play ground is there, Sports/Games room is present. Library is also well maintained with a large number of reference books but it has to be furnished more. In our main campus Asia's 2nd largest Central Library is present. So if you can get admission in the main campus you become one of those luckiests. Hahaha. Labs are well maintained with a large number of equipments. Wi-Fi zone is there in the campus, only students can access that.

Hostel facilities should be reformed. At present there's no more space in the girls' hostel so university has taken a guest house for rent for 7 of us. New hostel building is under construction, shortly we will shift there. Each student is given a bed, a cupboard, a study table and chair. But since we live in that guest house now, so we don't get all those hostel facilities which we should get though we have paid our hostel fees. Each room consists of 2 students. Rooms are large enough for two to live.
