Remarks

I always wanted to do engineering. I wanted cs or ese as my degree but I got ee according to my rank. This college is in the top three private engineering colleges in Kolkata so I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is upto date and coveres all the required topics. The faculty is nice, not all the teachers are great but some of them are too good. The labs are big enough and are done properly. Online classes are being conducted now in this pandemic situation, these classes are taken very wisely by a few faculty members.

Average placement. I don't know much about it because I'm just in 2nd year only. I have heard it's nice overall.

There are many opportunities provided. There are many clubs in the college and they encourage all the students to participate and learn many new things. There is technical club, cultural club, social club, literacy club and many more.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
