Remarks

Overall if i want to give marks to my college rating then 1 will give 3 and 1/2 stars. there are more ups than downs of college keeping this in mind college is good but there should be some adjustments.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE 61 no i got this college in counselling online, no particular choice different colleges are filled in form in descending order of quality and i got this college on the basis of my rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is good for students point of view. in 1st year we have to study all the branch related subjects so that if i have to change my stream then i can do so easily provided i get 8.5 cgpa in first 2 semesters practicals and theory are well maintained In the first 2 years theories are more concentrated and in the last 2 years practicals are given more attention. The whole practical process including manuals, reading, analysis, and manual working is very good that gives us the written knowledge as well as necessary practical knowledge which is important. there is more emphasis on the practicals the chapters and lessons are somewhat useful or can say satisfactory because some chapters are those which i personally cant understand why it is included there is also a good thing that assignments are being given for major practice purposes(if not given in difficult situations).

Internships Opportunities

Our college do not provide internship generally even if they do there are partiality in that students with more knowledge or more close to teacher are benefited i have no experience.

Placement Experience

4.5

Well placement and job opportunities are very good at least when we were in 4th year. during our 4th year about 500 got placed in companies like WIPRO ,TCS etc. In our stream we have about 70% placement which is great keeping in mind that we are mechanical students those who were unplaced in these companies get more chances in different companies various campusing were held so as far as the placement in our batch is concerned it was excellent In other streams also there were many placements although i admit that in previous years when i was in 2nd 3rd 4th year there were less placements due to which various strikes were held also.

College Events

4

The events organised in our college is TECHNO FESTIVAL. This is organised by our students working under the name PHOENIX. various programs held in this festival many students participate in games such as counter strike, NFS MOST WANTED and win prizes.Dance programs are also held in by various students especially girls various quizes are held. Also buffet systems are available for food.

Fee Structure And Facilities

FEE STRUCTURE:- 1st semester including admission fees. caution etc - 75000 2nd semester -Rs 36000, 3rd semester - Rs 37000, 4th semester - Rs 37000, 5th semester - Rs 38000, 6th semester - Rs 38000, 7th semester - Rs 39000 8th semester - Rs 39000 fee structure is feasible except caution money of 30000 is unnecessary taken and not refunded.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is good i our college except some streams like mechanical and civil. in CS stream gender ratio is about 3:2 in IT branch ratio is also 3:2. so overall there re about 600 girls on 1000 boys workshops are not well maintained all thing feels like sophisticated there are various diversities in students studying method in college etc sports competition like cricket is held also. our college also has won 4 championship in 2015 in cricket and n some tournament semifinal robotics competition are held in which students make group and makes robot by analyzing their study and with the help of teachers and knowledgeable person debates are there also i too had participated in debate competition.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are no hostels in college i lived in flat of 3 bhk with my 5 friends monthly rent was 8000 and then 8500 after 1 year we have to pay 1200 for gas. electricity bill was divided with landlord in 1:2 ratio. rooms were big enough for us. in each room 2 of us accommodated we have to pay 300 per person to a lady who made food for us.In short about Rs 3500 are spent monthly.

Alumni/Alumna

One big drawback of this college is seniors they should be helpful but instead they are torturing they have no understanding that they are senior and we are juniors infact there have been many bad interactions with seniors resulting in severe fights.

Exam Structure

LABS- labs were somewhat unpredictable.sometimes labs get cancelled sometimes there are more than 2 labs in a day which makes it hectic. but during normal routines it was a chill there were fun in intersting practicals EXAMS- Exams are in semester wise. there are 2 semesters in 1 year so 8 semesters in full course. odd semesters are held in december while even semesters are held in may-june first practicals are completed then theory exams are conducted registration of rs 1000 are also to be done in order to appear in the examination and to specify the choice of my subjects (if any).

Admission

Process is that i filled the WBJEE counselling form giving every necessary details and get a chalan of rs 500 from any bank.then college of my choice is filled according to the merit of the colleges in west bengal. which college i would get depend on the performance of mine in WBJEE exam i got 9961 rank and thus got nsec in mechanical(my choice).i got a provisional allotment first of DR BC ROY,DURGAPUR then i had to submit a application to WBUT (now MAKAUT)to upgrade my allotment. In the 2nd allotment i got NETAJI SUBHASH ENGINEERING COLLEGE and finally in the last allotment i got this college again after the completion of allotment procedure i have to go to college and take part in admission process and fill up the form and to verify documents.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
