College provides good facilities like buses to the airport and railway stations for picking and dropping students, encourages cultural activities and celebrations of festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, Bihu etc. It gives an overall good experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam pattern consists of mid semester ,end semester and internal assessments. Mid semester will be conducted for 30 marks, end semester will be conducted for 50 marks and internals assessments is for 20 marks. Internal assessments is further divided into three parts, 10 marks for class test, 5 marks for assignments and 5 marks for the regular attendance.The education here is relevant and research driven. The institute has separate well equipped labs for each department. There will be clubs and societies for each branch and they conduct different activities, speeches and lectures that provide every student with the proper industry-specific knowledge and helpful in securing on-campus placements. Industrial visits are not organized here.

It takes all the necessary measures to ensure placements for the students.
College Events
There will be two fests celebrated in NIT Silchar, One is cultural fest INCANDESCENCE and one technical fest TECNOESIS. There will be a massive participation in both the fest from the students of the College and also many colleges near by take part in the programs conducted in them. THUNDERMARCH is an event in the cultural fest in which many of the bands take part, some of the bands are from Russia.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for any course is around 85,000 per semester in which 62,500 is tuition fee which will be reimbursed based on the income of the student's family. We can pay the fee through SB collect or DD. There are no additional fee and the college provide the transparency in the fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college provide carious scholarship oppurtunities for the students. One of it is NSP sholarship, the students with low family income can apply for it and it shortlists the students based on their intermediate marks. A total of 10,000 rupees will be given to the student if he/she is shortlisted.
Admission
I have secured All India rank of 22114 in JEE Mains Examination, after that I have participated in JoSAA councelling in which all the NITs and IITs seats are allotted to the students based on the rank they have secured. There will be seven JoSAA counselling rounds and 2 CSAB special rounds in which the seats which are not filled are filled in CSAB special rounds. I had Participated in JoSAA rounds and I got ECE in NIT Silchar and after that I had also participated in CSAB spl round and my branch upgraded From ECE to CSE in NIT Silchar. After that the institute had verified all certificates are valid or not and after that I finally paid semester fee and confirmed my Admission.
Faculty
There are 25 lecturers in CSE departement with average age of 34 and all of them completed their P.hd . Everyone has best experience in their particular field and clarify every doubts of the students. Some of them take special care for students by personally explaining the topics which students have missed and also maintain regular contact in the Whatsapp groups and Google Classrooms etc. Some of the faculty have industrial experience and some don't.
