Ankesh Goenka's Review On Progressive Education Society's Modern College Of Engineering - [MCOE], Pune

According to me. If you want to do engineering and wants a job then go for it. But if you want to experience college life also then look for other options this college is overrated by pune university.

I cracked MHTCET exam with good marks in 2010 when there was Maharashtra CET for Engineering u just need to get good marks to opt for this college. There is admission process. You need to wait for CAP rounds and the seat will be allotted to you accordingly.I It was ranked among top 5 private institutes in Pune by then.

Course is same as that of Pune University. Courses offered are Computer Science,Information Technology, Mechanical Engg,ENTC Engg,Electrical Engineering. I will suggest Comp Sci and EnTc if you are interested in joining the college.

There were no companies for internship in college but we need to do at our own. There were project groups which were sponsored by company you were joined in for internship.

I have heard a lot about placements of this college before joining but there were only few companies came for placements. Depending upon percentage criteria you need to maintain your criteria about 60% throughout which is tough in pune university. Companies that come frequently are TCS,Persistent,Cognizant,Bitwise and many among small MNCs packages offered are generally 3 - 4.5 lacks per year.

As college is located in Center of Pune the campus is small so no play grounds at all but cultural festivals are celebrated event named MPULSE is organized every year but most student took it as a extra holidays.

The best thing about this college is its fee structure which is feasible compared to other colleges in pune. When i was in college the fee was around 65 thousands for each year.

Scholarship offered depending upon your caste and subcaste. There were EBC for economically backward Open candidates loan can be available from bank at their respective interest rates.

Campus life is not bad computer labs are good machines are new extracurricular activities are rare depending upon you college magazines are published each year. Which has almost copied articles. No sports in this college rather than Box cricket played during events.

There were no hostel facilities for Boys Girls can get it but only few seats are there if you wants to get admitted to this college you need to look after your stay and food. And one thing i need to mention that college canteen is in worst condition ther

There were no ragging or any contacts with the senior students which is bad thing because the pressure increases when you study in higher year in Engineering you need to build contacts at your own.

Exam structure is same in all colleges of Pune University which was horrible practical examinations held before theory which is not done at other universities of Maharashtra the gap between theory papers are only 1 day or no gap at all for backlog papers.

Faculty members are very supportive. But they are not experienced much but they were very helpful.
