Awesome life at KNIT.

In my view there is not any big issue in college. Since college location is not very good so there are not large opportunities in the city. One issue can be considered as there are not sufficient hostels. Hostels could be better.

I took UPTU entrance exam. It is a state engineering entrance exam. My interest was always in technology that's why I chose this course. Admission process was very smooth. First counseling was there after I got rank, and then admission was done at college.

My engineering field is electronics and communication. There are not various sources from outside the college but still from inside the college there are lot of things to learn from like seniors, wifi, faculty and friends. Sufficient books are also available in college library. Also the hostel culture is very good for study.

Internship is not provided by the college. There is stipend of 12k for M.tech. students. Overall experience is satisfactory.

There are not a lot number of companies which came. But still TCS is our mass recruiter which recruits from all branches. Then Wipro also provide pool campus for our college at Lucknow. Then there are some electronics companies came like Idea, Lava & Mediatek. This year around 150 students are placed in TCS and Wipro. Other companies are about to come. I also placed in TCS. TCS and Wipro gave packages around 3.3 and 3.2pa.

For technical events there are forums like Foronix for electronics engineering students, CSI for computer science students etc. There are also some forums like ISTE, IEI which organizes events for every one. There is a state level sports event named Tvaran. There is also a cultural event named Anubhuti. A technical event is also there named Effulgence. There is very high participation in Avaran from different state colleges.

As a government college there is not a very high fees for any course. There is 40k rupees as a tuition fee in every year. 10k for the hostel fee for an year. 15k for mess fee in every semester. There is also 10000 caution fee which is required to pay at time of admission.

There is not any good scholarship facility in this college. I have no idea about loan facility in my college.

Campus life is very good there is very good greenery in whole campus. Gender ratio is very bad. Out of 65 students in my class there are only 10 girls. There are 2 to 3 workshops are organized in every year. There are no night out parties but only parties in hostel which are generally birthday parties. There is no racism or gender biasing. There is diversity and tolerance between students from rural and urban area students.

Hostels are not in very good condition. A two seater room is used to give to three persons. Toilets are not very bad. Water supply is also not very good. Electricity is good. Mess food is average. Drinking water is filtered. Only final year students can get a single seater room. Around 15 to 18 students from each branch got single seater room in final year.

This is the thing which I like most in my college. Seniors are very helpful in each manner at every step. I use to study from my seniors in exam time. They are very helpful. There also alumni meet is organized every year. Alumni are at very good and respective positions.

Exams are very frequent. In one semester 2 sessional exams and 1 semester exam are there. Sessional exams are from 2 or 3 units of each subjects. Labs are not very good but still they try to convince us by explanation. There are frequent practicals in each subject lab in every week.

First after entrance exam I got the rank card from internet. Then I filled the choices of colleges and branches at a nearest private college. Then after some days I was noticed about my allotted college. Then I went to my allotted college with my documents. After submitting the fee, my admission process was completed.

Faculty of the college is very talented. They provide full support to students. Qualification of all faculty members is not same. Some has masters degree in engineering. Some has worked at DRDO and ISRO. Teaching techniques are good. They also gave us full space for self study.
