Remarks
I took admission in TMSL because I did not well in JEE and other entrance exams I was getting much worse colleges than compared to TMSL. Regarding my subject electrical I really liked studying about electronics and magnetism so electrical was my first choice at time of counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum here is mediocre no one is concerned about the academics of the students Often even the course is not completed. Faculties are just focused on completing the syllabus and some time they even fail to achieve that
Internships Opportunities
I am doing an internship in BILI CONSULTANCY Pvt. Ltd. as a graphic designer. I am signed for 3 months internship for 5000 rupees, Certificate and letter of recommendation.
Placement Experience
College is not fully transparent about placement records,companies and procedure. What I've heard from seniors arround 80% of the placement are done by mass recruitment in companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT etc very few product based companies like Microsoft and Flipkart come for placement and recruite only a few students from CSE or IT. In my stream EE out of 150 students hardly 30 students get placed that too in IT Companies with average salary 9f 3Lac p.a. Placements for core branches is very tough here in ME and CI hardly anyone gets placed.
College Events
There is no campus life as such, because there is none. There is no hostel students either live in small cramped PGs or take flat which costs way more than average hostel fee, however college hosts several events throughout the year which are somewhat better than most average B. Tech colleges and students from all over Kolkata participate in them. Speaking of extra curricular activities we have quite handful no. Of clubs which keeps us busy in extra curricular activities.
Campus Life
Our college is quite small only two buildings and two playgrounds and even they are small, no proper wifi facility however there is one free Jio-net wifi service which gives you only 35MB can you imagine only 35MB
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel. This is the worst part about my college all the other colleges have hostel, I suppose BTech is not just about academics it's equally about hostel life. Students have to live either in PG or Flats.
