Remarks

I gave the CET entrance test and I got a good rank. I opted for hospitality and hotel Administration in a bachelor of Science in IMS Kolkata. The admission process was quite easy. And fees structure is very good here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty at IMS are good and friendly. You can ask any doubts related to the subject. They not only support you in subject matter but also in real life. The course curriculum was good enough for a student to know about what a hospitality professinal should learn

Course Fees: INR 210000 per year

Placement Experience

IMS Kolkata is well known for its placement statistics. The companies coming to campus placement offers a good salary. Packaeges start over 1.5 lacs.

In my first year, there were extracurricular activities as a subject. The labs have almost every facility. IMS Kolkata has interact with many social activites. Students can play different kinds of sports like football, tennis, badminton, volleyball, etc.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

It's and average college but with good facility and faculty
