Course Curriculum Overview

A new Syllabus was introduced in the same year by the university. It has more exposure to the industry. The topics are apt to the current situation and market trends. We have handson sessions for data analysis which is of top preferred job positions nowadays.

The most awaited event was the Management fest of the college. It happens once in 2 years. Happy that I could be a part of the organising team. It was a mixture of arts, techie and Management events. A one day programme to enjoy. Others activities include seminars, webinars, IMLP and Industry Institute Interactions.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I have actually 3 colleges in the list of confirmation. I choosed this because of the course. But the exposure and the building which also attracted me. It have a vast campus and very good atmosphere.The laboratories are air conditioned ,the classrooms are modern and have digitised.some of the college's I applied didn't have such facilities. I didn't get any rejection from any colleges.myself I choosed this college. The admission process is according to university criteria ,you must have 55% marks in UG degree and there is relaxation for students in specific categories. The only college under MG university which provied IMCA was Scms and De paul .Since scms is a well established and reputed college there was no second thought of joining the college .
